It’s our birthday! On the occasion of Bookmark’s third anniversary, we’re taking a look at the memorable moments from the past year.
In October 2016 Spafax Content Marketing and Forward Worldwide came together to form Bookmark Content and Communications. Three years on, we’ve grown as one of the world’s premier full-service marketing companies. Let’s take a look back at some of our highlights and major projects since our last birthday.
Highlights from Year Three
Taking Boots Health & Beauty Multichannel
Bookmark helped usher in a new era for Boots Health & Beauty, the UK pharmacy-led retailer’s twenty-year-old magazine. The publication turned a new page, so to speak, with its completely redesigned September/October 2019 issue. Health & Beauty also launched a new site and social channels packed with compelling content to redefine itself as a multichannel editorial brand—in line with WBA’s new publisher mindset. Bookmark worked on this futureproofing project as part of WPP’s Team Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA).
Redesigning Air Canada enRoute
The award-winning Air Canada enRoute inflight magazine underwent a transformation in 2019, aligning with Air Canada’s contemporary brand identity while taking design cues from the roots of aviation. The newly reimagined media brand projects a strong editorial point-of-view that amplifies Canadian values through a multichannel content strategy that engages travelers across platforms – from Instagram, to video, to a more collectible print format.
Being Named AOR for Nobis
We added luxury outerwear brand Nobis to our growing roster of PR and experiential marketing clients. As Agency of Record, Bookmark manages Nobis’ public relations, influencer relations, thought leadership, and consumer-facing events. The brand’s co-founder and CEO Robin Yates cited the team’s creativity and unique storytelling as the standout qualities that set us apart in the RFP process.
Transforming Silhouette’s Social Media Approach
Austrian eyewear brand Silhouette enlisted Bookmark to execute their social media strategy and produce blog content for the brand website. Working with product shots and campaign assets, including behind-the-scenes of advertising shoots, we transformed Silhouette’s approach to Instagram and Facebook, reaching 3.7 million people in our first four months. Meanwhile we are taking the blog in a more editorial, rather than purely commercial, direction—in line with new content pillars and an engaging tone of voice.
Launching a New Pandora Collection
We celebrated Pandora’s new spring collection with a garden in motion aboard a Toronto streetcar. Media, influencers and consumers were invited on board to preview the brand’s new Garden collection and experience the enchanted garden environment, while the streetcar toured a continuous loop along Queen Street West. The celebration continued in-store at key locations in Toronto and Montreal, with personal appearances by local influencers. Overall, the launch week campaign garnered more than 22 million total impressions.
New Bookmark Marketing Tools
We’re proud of the growing portfolio of marketing tools we continue to develop in-house, empowering brands to tell their own stories. In our third year we released a comprehensive content mapping guide and toolkit, a practical content audit checklist and an updated technical SEO checklist. Drawing from our ever-expanding wheelhouse of expertise, we’ve created valuable resources that break vast topics down into an easy-to-follow format—with quirky illustrations to keep things interesting.
